Ajaya Tummala, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist who treats heart and vascular health conditions with minimally invasive procedures that restore health and function so people can carry on with their lives. His expertise includes coronary artery disease (CAD) and peripheral artery disease (PAD). Dr. Tummala values one-on-one patient care as he personally communicates and treats each person with kindness and compassion. Dr. Tummala holds American Board of Internal Medicine certifications in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He stays up to date with cardiology research and trends as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a member of the American Heart Association.
After earning his medical degree from Andhra Medical College in India, Dr. Tummala did medical training in the United States. His residency was at Detroit Receiving Hospital, followed by a cardiology fellowship with training in interventional cardiology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
