Brinton J. Fegley, DNP, ACNP, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in cardiology. “In my day-to-day operations, patients come first,” he says.
At Willis Knighton Cardiology in Minden, he cares for people with chest pain, coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, arrythmias, pacemakers, cardiac stents, heart valve disease and peripheral arterial disease.
Born and raised in Shreveport, Fegley says his greatest inspiration “is a personal calling from God to healthcare.” His first and most influential mentors were "Mrs. Cynthia Joiner RN, MSN, who mentored me through school and life, and Dr. Phillip Rozeman, who mentored me as an advanced healthcare provider."
Fegley earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1998 at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall and a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2002 at Northwestern State University in Shreveport. In 2017, he completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (with a specialty in cardiology) at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys Crossfit and riding bicycles in rural areas.
